Rules of the Dojang

 

  1. Show respect to your dojang.
     
    1. Always bow when entering or leaving the workout area.
    2. Put trash in its proper place.
    3. Do not leave sparring gear.
    4. Do not walk on the workout area with shoes.
       
  2. Show respect to instructors and black belts by bowing to them upon entering the dojang.
     
    1. Say "sir" or "mam" when addressed by your instructor or by another black belt.
       
  3. No horse-play (running or wrestling, playing tag, etc...) before, during or after class.
     
  4. No sparring before or after class unless supervised by an instructor.
     
  5. Always respect fellow students by observing the following:
     
    1. Use control in sparring and one-steps.
    2. Never laugh or make fun of a fellow student.
    3. Never display a bad temper toward a fellow student.
       
  6. No foul language is allowed or tolerated in this school.
     
  7. Always wear a clean dobok (uniform) and keep finger nails & toe nails trimmed.
     
  8. Always bring ranking belt and sparring gear to class.
     
  9. No candy, chewing gum, food or drinks on the workout area.
     
  10. No jewelry (watches, chains, rings, etc...) while working out.
